Track 1 on the Playlist is now renamed ‘Insert 1’ so I can see it’s done correctly.Ĥ. I right click on Track 1 (left column on the playlist) and select ‘Track Mode > Audio Track > Insert 1’, which I assume is sending the Audio Track ‘Track 1’ from the Playlist to ‘Insert 1’ on the Mixer Rack. This is ‘Pattern 1’ – I drag that onto Track 1 in the Playlist.ģ. So this is what I do:ġ.Ědd channel (synth, piano, whatever), play/add notes in Piano Roll.Ģ. iZotope’s instructions say to “Create an audio track and add Stutter Edit 2 as an insert on the track…” Since I never used audio tracks in this way before, I thought I’d better check to be 100% sure what an audio track is in FL Studio (not assuming anything).įrom the FL Studio manual: “An Audio Track is defined when a Playlist Track is linked to a Mixer Track.” Fine. Just to be sure, I’m gonna start with a new empty project. Fine – this is exactly what iZotope says should be happening, and demonstrates the plugin is working in the DAW. Hit play on the pattern, and you hear the wild modulations and effects of Stutter Edit 2. Hit notes on the MIDI keyboard, and it just plays the basic synth/piano/whatever note. In Stutter Edit 2 set mode to Auto, select a preset etc. Link the channel to Mixer Track, add Stutter Edit 2.ģ. Now in Auto Mode, everything works almost as you’d expect from using FL Studio with a typical Effects VST in the Mixer Rack:ġ.Ědd channel (synth, piano, whatever), play/add notes in Piano RollĢ. I’m following iZotope’s instructions here: I’m using FL Studio 20.7.3 (build 1987), installed as standard install I’ve never seen anything connected to FL Studio in the way Stutter Edit 2 does, so I’m gonna write down what I’m doing here – in detail, with hopefully nothing assumed or left out – and maybe someone can figure out what I’m doing wrong? Thanks)Ĭan I ask some advice, as I’m trying to link iZotope Stutter Edit 2 to FL Studio 20 in MIDI mode, and I’m getting unbelievably frustrated, as the very basic instructions provided by iZotope don’t seem to be working even though I’m following them to the letter. I think I’ve got the right forum, but if I’ve posted this in the wrong place, Admins please forward to the correct forum.
